Foot Doctor Explains Rafa Nadal's Foot Injections (And How They MAY Extend His Career)
Rafael Nadal has pulled off a miracle French Open win while dealing with his chronic foot injury, Muller-Weiss Syndrome. There have been debates on wether Nadal could even rejoin the tour let alone win another grand slam, and now he has announced he has been receiving pain killing injections in his foot and plans on additional injections and a potential nerve ablation prior to surgery- but what were the injections Nadal was receiving and what is a nerve ablation?
This foot condition is poorly understood even among specialists. Rafael Nadal is one of the fastest movers on the ATP tour but as he gets into his 30's and tries to go after more Grand Slam titles, foot injuries like this could alter the GOAT debate for decades to come.
